Highlights of some of our activities:
Autumn/Winter Term

Harvest Walk at Roughway. Lovely walk through the autumn leaves to see the trees change colours. The highlight of the walk is picking up apples and making apple pies. Delicious!

Messy Play Morning with siblings and parents invited. When we say we learn through play, we mean that literally! Book a time to join us in one of our messy play times to expand your child’s imagination and curiosity, build on their communication and vocabulary, promote their physical development and lots more.

Children in Need with Pudsey Bear. Plaxtol Nursery join in our little way to bring smiles to faces of children in need through parent donations and children’s craft painting.

Christmas Party with visit from a special guest – We enjoy Christmas party with a special guest. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Plaxtol Nursery School Nativity. We are big on school nativity; our little ones dress up and make a big effort to bring smiles to the faces of their parents and carers as they mount the stage and give a big performance to remember for a life time.
Spring Term

Spring Walk at Roughway. We walk around our rural area to check out blossoming flowers and colours springing up. What a change from the autumn leaves!

The People who help us. We love the visits from the wonderful professionals like Firefighters, Doctors, Police, Vet, Nurses and dentist to speak to the children.

World Book Day. An opportunity to celebrate and dress up as book characters. We also visit our local library to cultivate the habit of reading with our children, both in nursery and at home.

Chinese New Year Celebration. We encourage the kids to learn about cultures, festivals and celebrations around the world. The highlight is the lovely red envelope we get with chocolates coins.

Lambing at Fairlawn. We visit a local farm to experience first-hand a newborn lamb and learn about how the Shephard cares for the lamb. Our children love this experience.

Summer Term

Outing to Park. Time to make the best use of the sunshine, we spend a day in the park to bond with our parents and enjoying a picnic.

Strawberry Picking at Stonepitts Farm. What a beautiful sight! Always wonderful to see more strawberries going into the mouth than the baskets.

Sports Day. Come and compete or watch us take part in different races and activities. We love when our parents join in to make this such a lovely day.

Teddy Bear's Picnic. This is the time of the year we celebrate with our children going to primary school. We know this is a big leap for them and we let them know they can do this.

Visit by ZooLab to see mini-beasts with Ranger. We enjoy the creepy crawlies and get to see and touch some animals such as snakes, snails, frogs and centipedes.
